heyhey, i'm finally back from my cambodian trip people. i kinda wanna go back. the thing is, cambodia has been a life changing trip for me. although i already know that Singapore is a good place to be in, this is really something different. the children there are really evil man, bred by the devil, i swear. but then, they are raised like that, u cant really blame them. i'll miss the people there, even though i know that some of them are being kind to us singaporeans because their teachers told them too, like how my teachers told me to in secondary and primary sch to always be nice to foreigners that come to our school. and the people there care way too much about money. since their life and death depends on it. it's a horrible place to grow up in, but its not a bad place to visit.

come to think of it,even when there's the language barrier and the cultural difference, some of the student still try and be nice to you and try to get to know u. that was really touching.although it wasnt easy living there for 2 weeks, i dont regret going. although i was there to teach them, i feel like they've taught me more and more.

i feel like a really sad human being. hahaha, i'm awful. i'm selfish. i'm ugly. i cant help but think that way. i dont have any self esteem and i mean wat i say. i'm unfriendly, unlovable. i have no idea why i'm still living. but being in cambodia made me realized that there are far more people way worst them me but there's hearts and souls are much better then mine.

I seem to remember now, my time in school, as I lay down ever so silently in the darkness. The smell of sweat and marker pens, the laughter vibrating the very walls. As if it was just yesterday, I remember the emptiness in the hall, the statue of Christ hanging so freely off the grand walls. I look at it, sometimes praying for a better future, sometimes just waiting for it to fall. But it never did, not once throughtout my four years there. I remember how everyone sat down hastily, naked fear of the teachers, mentally going through all the right steps. Shoes, socks, fingernails, shirt and hair, making a quick checklist before the inspector arrives. Somehow it reminded me of catholic school, but heck, we were in one.

I remember the school cafeteria, the smell of food, all different types mixing under the brilliant sun; it made me sick. I remember the tables and stools, how we squashed ourselves in there, globbing down food before the bell rang. I remember the blue columns that I leaned on from day to day, look at everyone, observing them. I got the feeling that I was different, that I was there, yet some where farther away. The faces that I've seen there, I'll never forget. But maybe someday soon, like everything else, they will be washed away like the sand.

I remember the classroom that we sat in, the tables aging with abuse and graffiti, with love notes scribbled all over it. The works of art that were on some made me imagine how life was like for the students before us. Were they the same? Suffocating under words and expectations? I will never get to know now.

I have seen them tease anyone else that was different. I've seen them tormenting their very lifes. Yet I was afraid to help, no better them any of them. I've seen their emotional scars, and I have some of my own. And there are just so much that time cannot erase.

remember freshmen orientation? and SPSU camp? i'm always the one hyper on the 1st day. i love meeting new people, getting to now them. after that however, i'm not really good, am i? but 1st impressions are always good, and i think i made a good 1st impression. mwahahaha

i dont understand how u can not find something to talk about with a brand new friend ( note that i put friend no stranger, cos the key thing is to not treat someone like a stranger, that's how ur gonna get treated) even when u're seriously in a strange environment, like how i was at victoria theatre, cos i really have no worked at all backstage or in any play before and the people that are like 5-10 years older then me? my producer is a good 25 years different, but i still manage to make friends with them :) cos they treated me as an underling and taught me new stuff. haha:B

i havent been writing for a long time cos i've been sick... SICK I TELLS YAS!!! SICK!!! ~cough cough~

seems like everyone is not only sad but sick as well... they sick man, they sick... i when to OPD ( ya know, the one at tampines, behind gongshang...) gongshangs my primary school is u didnt know.and i've been sick for like 3 days straight with a fever of 38.8. yes, that's y i'm not in school... H1N1!!! lol, i'm not a swine, dont worry ~sneeze in ur face~
